WHOLE MILK POWDER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Whole milk powder is obtained by removing water from pasteurized milk through spray-drying. The powder can contain between 26% and 40% milkfat (by weight) on an “as is” basis and offers all the nutritional qualities of milk in its dry form.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

  • For bakery, confectionery, dairy, prepared mixes, sauces, and soups as an economical source of dairy solids, including milk fat.
  • A convenient form of nutritious milk that doesn’t require refrigeration, and is easily reconstituted
  • An easily transported and stored dairy ingredient

SKIMMED MILK POWDER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Skimmed milk powder is obtained by removing water from pasteurized skim milk by spray-drying. Skimmed milk powder is classified according to the heat treatment used in its manufacture (high heat, medium heat, and low heat)

PRODUCT VARIATIONS

  • Skimmed Milk Powder 34% (minimum milk protein content of 34%)
  • Skimmed Milk Powder 36% (minimum milk protein content of 36%)

  • Skimmed milk powder is mostly used in products based on reconstituted milk

SWEET WHEY POWDER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sweet whey powder is obtained by drying pasteurized sweet whey which is by-product during the manufacturing process of cheeses such as swiss or cheddar.

Sweet whey powder contains all the constituents of fresh whey, except moisture in the same relative proportion, Protein total 11 – 13 % and lactose 70 – 75%.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

  • It is used in many different foods (bakery, snack, confectionery) and dairy products as:
  • An economical way to add dairy solids. It has 8-9% ash and salt content
  • A source of high-heat processed dairy solids which is of importance to get a good loaf volume in bread
  • A support to get a good color development during high-temperature cooking and baking
  • A free-flowing and easy-to-disperse carrier in dry blends. The whey powder should be classified as a non-hygroscopic whey powder in such a case
